You're completely right. This isn't 1957. You wanna talk gender roles? Okay. You're telling women not to look pretty and dance around in sparkly little outfits because it's demeaning and archaic. 60 years ago, women were told they should stay home and clean and take care of the kids because anything else was men's work. Guess what, BOTH of those are oppressive because both of those dictate to women exactly what they should or shouldn't do. Thankfully, we live in an age where women have the freedom to MAKE THEIR OWN CHOICES, whether it be dancing in a sparkly dress or rocket science. Ahhh, isn't freedom great?!
