Or better yet, be unique and make yourself stand out with stellar grades, a winning personality, a real interest in other people, lots of honors and leadership roles and looking and dressing your best. If you have to resort to self-mutilation to stand out, God help you. But if you choose a low-rent way to express your individuality, expect to wind up in a low-rent house.
