Quota gets higher every year because more women want to be Greek. And yes, that actually is exactly the way the system works. It's not about exclusivity, believe it or not. From the NPC Manual of Information: The goals of quota-total are to: • Give each woman the maximum opportunity to pledge. • Provide the sorority experience to as many women as possible. • To assist sorority chapters in achieving parity. Right there, it says that a goal is to provide the sorority experience to as many women as possible. So as long as more and more women want to be in sororities, the houses will be taking more and more new members, and quota will continue to get bigger.
