Dorm talk can be the worst- because someone on your floor will inevitably have an opinion of certain houses (and their opinion will be based on someone else's opinion, no doubt). It is very important to try and ignore this. If someone says "my mom said XYZ is the best house here, so I will only join it" that person is pretty much saying they aren't capable of making their own decisions. if five girls from your school all LOVE ABC but you don't feel comfortable there, don't let them convince you to join it. It is VERY hard to tune out out the talk, but it is also the only way to insure that you are following your gut, your instincts and your heart. Every chapter here has something wonderful to offer. and despite dumb stereotypes posted on this website, they all have a LOT of similiarities. Trust yourself. Tune out the Talk.
