Asking what somebodies parents DO for a living is a very normal, ice breaker type question that gets asked in every house. But being asked how much they MAKE is tacky. Personally, I didn't report it because I was afraid PHA and my Pi Chi's wouldn't believe me and I didn't have proof, so I just took the advice of my roommate and bottom ranked the house that asked me and moved on with rush. I guarantee you that's what almost all the PNM's who get asked that question do.
