On the legacy thing, that's very direspectful to say. You should suggest to your house to focus on them more because legacies can be very important to some families. I believe the OP stated legacies are not a guarantee either. But they should be important. As for recs, what PNM or woman honestly has the time? Some girls are working full time just to pay for a sorority... This isn't Beverly Hills where everyone lives off daddy's money. Some girls just don't have the time, money or desire to do that. What if not one PNM came in with a rec letter? Would you just not have a pledge class? I know for a fact you hve probably had pnms in your house that did not have a rec. Because some of the best girls don't need them.
