<strong>Subject:</strong><br />faq for incoming rushes<br /><br /> Poster Message:
This website is great for girls going through rush who may not know anyone in mizzous Greek system already and have a lot of unanswered questions. Before you ask your question in a new thread though, please read this: Your GPA is a huge determining factor. However, your GPA is NOT everything. For those worrying because their gpa is below a 3.5, which is typically the grade cut for top houses, stop worrying. There are ALWAYS acceptions to grade cuts. Focus on making your resume as unique and interesting as you can an make sure your presentation is top notch. If you're a junior, your chances of getting into a house are slim. Houses like full commitments so they want you for more than two years. Sophomores, as long as your gpa is roughly at least a 2.8, you should try rushing. Being a sophomore can be a slight set back and I can't say for sure which houses will take you seeing as I'm only in one house and only know my houses rules, but every house has taken sophomores at some point. Your presentation and resume are the most important things that you have the most control of right now. You can't control what your gpa is at the moment because you're not taking classes. You can't control your age. Those things are what they are. However you can emphasize yourself as a person. Dress nicely, brush your hair, put some make up on. Look nice. Don't wear anything fake. If you can't afford expensive bags and watches, don't try and fake it. You'll look like a try hard. Just be genuine
