Having just gone through rush almost a year ago and spending the past year in greek life here at Mizzou these are just some things I think are important. Rankings really don’t matter on campus, Greek life as a whole is a huge deal at Mizzou and being a part of a chapter is about so much more than their rank on just ONE campus in the entire country. It’s in your best interest to talk to girls in sororities on campus but take everything they say with a grain of salt. Although most will be as unbiased as possible, most love their chapters and it’s sometimes hard to separate yourself from the girls you spend practically all your time with. It’s definitely difficult to get to know an entire house of 250+ girls in such a short amount of time each day but take it all in during recruitment and trust the system. -GET REC LETTERS -Just because you’re a legacy doesn’t mean they won’t cut you -CLEAN YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA -Put your best foot forward -Don’t talk about the houses, it gets back to the chapters much faster than you think -be positive throughout the week -be yourself and follow your gut instincts Each house on this campus has smart, funny, pretty, sweet, social girls that have amazing sisterhoods. Go into rush open-minded and you’ll find the house that’s right for you. I know girls who are 100% happy with their “bottom tier” pick and girls absolutely hate their “top tier” house. Disregard what you hear and choose the house that that you can see yourself becoming a part of.
