<strong>Subject:</strong><br />tier system <br /><br /> Poster Message:
The thing that nobody will tell you PNM's is how the tier system works. There are only so many types of girls that rush and so many house stereotypes and the reason the tiers work is because each tier feeds into the other. For example. A PNM who loves to party would probably pref Delta first because Delta the top tier party house. If Delta cuts her, then she'd probably go GPhi or Alpha Phi next because those are our middle tier party houses. If those two cut her then she'd probably pick Zeta because Zeta is the most party house of the bottom tier. Likewise, a PNM who really values grades and competing above anything else might pref Theta or Chi Omega first. But if they cut her she'd probably pref ADPi next. If ADPi cut her, it'd be AXO and if AXO cut her then she'd just sort through the bottom tier for her favorite. The top tier controls recruitment. They almost always have their first choice and then the middle tier gets to sort through the girls the top doesn't want and the bottom tier gets to fight for the left overs. Thankfully our greek system is strong enough that most of the "leftovers" are better than the top tier women at other schools. Nobody wants to say it because it sounds mean but the truth is that for the most part, everyone rushes for the top tier and settles for the best they can get if their first choice cuts them. It doesn't mean you won't be happy in your house, it just means most girls don't get their first pick.
