Subject:
Can Mizzou still sustain 15 sororities?

Poster Message:
Is there just not enough girls going greek to support membership for 15 chapters? I’m curious if tri sigma’s decline had to do with too much competition, or if it was more their own doing? I can’t anticipate them not losing their charter after this year. If PHA made created an interest group to have another sorority come to campus would they also struggle? Maybe chapters with stronger national support like Alpha Gamma Delta, Delta Zeta, Alpha Omicron Pi could be comparably more successful than tri sigma at Mizzou. I’m sure PHA has had to have questioned if they’ll be good with 14 chapters or if it will make the community look better if tri sigma can be replaced. No one else has needs or plans for renovations or a new house for the 24-25 school year, and it would be a shame if a frat ended up buying that house once no one else has any use for renting it. If a lot of the quality girls who fell through the cracks during recruitment and a couple of willing upperclassmen became founding members maybe it could turn into a chapter that could at the very least make quota and not have serious retention issues.
