Sorority life is supposed to be fun and all that, but there is a reason the best houses have grade cuts. That's because Mizzou Panhel takes a lot of pride in the all-sorority average being so much higher than the fraternity average and the all-school average. My house looks at it this way: you are in college to get an education first and foremost and if you didn't take studying very seriously in high school you are not going to be much of an asset to the house. Either you will struggle to make grades and won't have time for sorority activities or you will blow off school, party too much and not make it to sophomore year. We want well-rounded girls who have already set their priorities and know how to study. Joining a sorority is just the icing on the cake.
