a 24 ACT and 3.0 in high school won't get you into a top house, but I'm sure you can find a niche. There are many houses that don't have strict grade cutoffs. And once you make friends, you can be happy just about anywhere. In fact, some of the lower tier houses are more welcoming (and fun) than the houses that only go after the 29+ ACT/3.75+ gpa girls. Anyway, give it a try. What have you got to lose? And the worst thing ANYONE can do is judge a house before you have gone through rush and have met the girls.
