These rankings have been in place for years, my older sister went to Mizzou in the 2010s and not much has changed in terms of who is perceived as top tier and bottom tier. I think these rankings perpetuate themselves as freshman find out what houses are considered top and bottom and make their recruitment decisions based on that. Top tier houses get their pick of girls that get along well and have good resumes while lower tier houses don’t get to hand pick their members- leading to a less cohesive pledge class, more girls dropping, and less achievements on campus. These things might change if girls would give these houses a chance instead of dropping out of recruitment. I know amazing women in every house and I don’t think these rankings should be a big deciding factor in your recruitment journey. If you want sisterhood and a sorority experience, then you should give these chapters a chance. Appearances aren’t everything.
