This probably happens a lot, but only to women who are desperate to be part of Greek life and who ignore all the signs of a bad fit when they are going through recruitment. Each and every person going through should check the Greek Life website for gpa's and violations. It's easy to spot the part houses and those without high standards. If you are asked back only to houses that wouldn't be a good fit, it's time to drop out of recruitment. Take a year to work on your grades and activities and make new friends who are in sororities. One of those friends might be able to help you get into a better house during COB. But sorority life might just not be for you. No need to compromise your standards. Just cultivate good friends with whom you have more in common and, hopefully, you will be able to live with them in future years.
