Chi o is considered top tier. Alpha chi is considered middle-tier. They are actually really similar houses - both are really well-rounded (grades, social, involvement, looks). They both have really cute girls but in a more girl-next-door way than say Tri delt or gphi. You could say alpha chi is the slightly lesser version of chi o. :)
