Personally speaking for my house, we had every girl who was interested in joining us submit their GPA along with their info and any woman who met our grade cut offs got open invitations to several low-key activities throughout the week in order to meet sisters. We did a mini recruitment and then had a preference night where we narrowed the field and paired girls one on one to see if the fit was good. We rushed about ninety rushed and took about thirty. And I'm in a bottom tier house. Like, actual bottom tier and I'll admit that. I'm unsure what about the way we did things in considered unfair. Any girl who met out GPA recruitment was invited to come to any of our open events and in my opinion it worked very well and we got a great PC. Whoever is accusing the bottom tier of trying to be jerks and act important doesn't know what she's talking about because the other two bottom tier houses do it the same way we do. The houses that actually COB "unfairly" are AXO and APhi and honestly, I would COB the same way they do if we only needed six or so girls. Why put together an entire mini recruitment if you know what you want and only need to fill five spots? We do what we do because we needed to fill more spots and a house like AXO takes the word of initiated sisters because COB isn't as big a deal for them.
