HS Senior- Prepare by getting rec letters to every house if you can. Ask everyone you know, teachers, friends moms to write one for you. Prepare a resume to send out so they can know more about you. This will help each house learn about you and what you can offer before rush. You will need an excellent GPA. Most houses have a cutoff point, but if you have under a 3.0 you may want to wait until you can raise it to at least that before rushing. The poster above is correct. Putting your best foot forward on your social media is VERY IMPORTANT. You do NOt want to appear to be a party girl. Clean that up and be aware of what you post. They can and will look. Work on your wardrobe for rush. Look your best (hair and makeup) SMILE and be friendly. Rush is hectic and stressful. Relax and DO NOT LISTEN TO RUMORS ABOUT HOUSES!!! Many girls find themselves wishing the had given a house a chance later on. The fact is, they choose you, you do not get to choose them. Keep an open mind about each house and what you can offer them. Are you an athlete? Dancer? Singer? Leader? Let them know! Preparation will help you to be more relaxed during the process.
