At this point, the most important decision you can make is what you want your college experience to be. Do you want to be part of Greek life or not? If you do want to be in a sorority, give every house that is interested in you a chance and it's likely you will get a bid. If you just want one house, that's the only one you will consider and you would rather not be in a sorority if you can't be in that house, go ahead and suicide that house, knowing full well that you likely will wind up NOT getting it and not ever being part of Greek life. Sorry, but that's just how the system works. And while many houses COB, the best houses don't, or may take just a few women. So if you think you can have a second chance with your top choice during COB, that's probably not going to happen. Sadly, there is a reason they didn't have you at the top of their bid list. I know this all is difficult to hear, but someone had to say it. It also often is said that the system is imperfect, but that somehow it works. That is absolutely true, that more often than not you might not wind up in a house that was near the top of your list after first round. But the reality is that you probably will fit in there perfectly, make fantastic friends and be very happy.
