I think the bigger problem here is sororities that misrepresent themselves. I recall one house that's a real bottom feeder when it comes to grades talking up its academic reputation during recruitment. I understand that the alums were angry at how far the house had fall grade-wise, but, really. Think of all those PNMs who fell for their line of B.S. just so that they could get a pledge class to help them raise their GPA. By the way, is doesn't happen that way. You can't have one culture for existing members and another for new members. That's why some of these houses see so many members of their pledge class drop (and, yes, y'all know the houses I'm talking about).
