Same thing happened to me two years ago. I realized right away the house I chose wasn't right for me. I didn't know until I joined that their priorities were exclusively about partying and that was not at the top of the list for me. As a poli sci major with aspirations to go to law school, I had to get out of there and made the decision before initiation. I went through formal again the next August and now am extremely comfortable in a sisterhood that better matches my goals. I have been able to maintain a 4.0 (so far) and am right where I want to be. Don't worry. Your first experience is behind you and you will be smarter about it the next time around.
