I agree with the above post. There are many houses where they mainly take friends of current members. That's OK, I guess, but those houses tend to be cliquey and not very open to outsiders. I would keep my eyes open to overly familiar conversations during recruitment, because that means that girls who already know a woman going through rush will be assigned to her. If you feel genuinely welcome at a house and if you sense that they really want to get to know you, that's a good sign. I think you will do just fine and will wind up in the place that's best for you. It's a wacky system, but it has a way of working out.
