As a transfer your h.s. gpa and classes won't count, just your college GPA (assuming it's a legit college, not a for-profit university or community college). Leadership, outside activities and volunteerism during college matter, too. The first major reason we cut PNMs is because of grades. We also expect you to be engaging, have confidence and be able to hold a conversation. Don't make us do all the work (LOL). Finally, and this is extremely subjective, we want to know that you will be an asset to our house. That means we expect that you know how to study and won't be a drain on our gpa, that you are mature enough to not do stupid things like drink too much and make a scene, and that you have respect for yourself and others. We find these things out, in part, through recommendations from alums. Be sure to get lots of recs. They matter and any house that says they don't is a house that is desperate to fill quota. Finally, sure, it helps if you are attractive. But it's more important to have character and to be well put together and confident than to be a vacuous beauty. Girls who get by exclusively on their looks are a dime a dozen.
