Most houses will be below total in the Spring, and most of their national organizations will require they COB if they are below total. With total at 288, even the "top" houses are likely to dip below that number if they have a few graduating seniors/transfers/resignations, which every single chapter has. Houses didn't use to COB as much because total wasn't adjusted every year like it was last year and this year. Honestly, COB will become much more accepted and have much less stigma attached to it every year, so long as total is adjusted every year like it should be. That doesn't mean houses will advertise that they are doing COB, but I promise you that they will be doing it behind the scenes.
