First, it's best not to suicide because you never know what your opinion of a house will be after a week or two. A house you were on the fence about could end up being your perfect home. They've talked to women in each house for a total of what, 4 hours this week? And they've probably only met a small fraction of the house. If you give a house a chance, you may be very pleasantly surprised. Second, it's best not to suicide because if you do, you are not eligible to be a quota addition Last year 11 houses had quota additions, but those are only women who maximized their options. Without going into too much detail, quota additions are girls who maximized their options (i.e. listed every party on their pref card) but who fell through the cracks and didn't make a bid list. They can then be added to a chapter, and probably their first choice chapter. But, if they suicided, they are not eligible to be added.
