I joined my chapter as a sophomore and yes, I have a number of friends from my PC, but the sophomores embraced me and all of my dearest friends are from my grade, not my PC. Some houses don't blend across PC's, others do. I'm lucky that mine does, and am very close with my big and members of her class as well. Good luck!
