Probably because they CHOOSE to, unlike your hinting that spring rush is a sign of desperation. Girls graduate early, go on co-ops, drop out of school, transfer. And often there are GREAT PNM’s who didn’t rush in the fall or wanted to be sure they were academically solid before they rushed. For whatever reason, it means MORE WOMEN will become SORORITY SISTERS. And there’s no way to spin this as a negative!
