1. Be ready to talk about the same stuff for the first two days. What's your major? Where are you from? Hobbies? What'd you do in high school? what'd you do this summer? Blah, blah, blah. The first two days are rough because it feels like the same conversation OVER and OVER but hang in there. 2. Make friends with girls in your Pi Chi group. It makes the day go faster and also you could be making friends with a future sister, you never know. 3. Dress for success. Wear a sundress and sandals on Skit Day, that's usually what girls wear. And for Pref wear something a little nicer, maybe your pearls if you have them. Bring flats to change into when you're walking between Pref parties because they will SAVE YOUR LIFE. 4. Bring emergency beauty stuff just in case. Brush, mirror, lipgloss, tissues, bobby pins, etc. Again, they'll have your life. 5. Keep an open mind. The house I ended up joining was not even on my radar the first day but they completely blew my mind during Skit Day. Make sure you never count anymore out based on one bad experience, rumors, stereotypes, etc. 6. Be kind. You'd be surprised how many girls walk into a house with a bad attitude and believe it or not, girls talk with girls in other houses. If you are rude, swear, etc it will get around quick. 7. During conversations don't bring up how much it costs to be Greek, politics, religion or any controversial issues. Keep it light, keep it fun and be yourself.
