Yeah formal rush for fraternities is kind of like that. It runs for three days in June and you go to every house and pref and get your bids at the end of rush. Only big difference is that sorority rush is a whole week compared to three days for fraternities (But sororities don't really have a pledging process). If you're talking about COB vs informal rush then no. Most sororities don't bid new members after formal rush while almost every fraternity except Beta has a new pledge class in the spring.
