Sometimes it isn't retention issues - many houses have seniors who graduate early, or members who go out of the country to study abroad, or are out of Columbia completing internships/student teaching assignments. As expensive as it is to maintain/build sorority houses - ANY sorority would be stupid not to have a full membership to maximize member dues/house fees.
