It is painfully obvious to me that not one of the comments here was written by a STEM major, nor from anyone who understands the curve process. Let's break it down for the losers in the crowd. 100 chem majors take a test. It was determined beforehand that it would be graded on the curve. That means there will be an equal number of each grade. Everyone gets at least an 85 on the test. Therefore, an 85 is failing. An 89 is a D, a 93 is a C, a 97 is a B and a 100 is an A because, dumbsht, you can't get above 100% when a test is graded on the curve. So tell me again how grading on a curve helps smart people. And to the idiot who says science majors go to grad school and accounting majors don't, you really are an clueless because you are not aware that to sit for the CPA exam you must have 150 credit hours. 120 undergrad, 30 grad school. Now go back to studying whatever it is you study to get your Mrs. degree and leave the rest of us who actually work in college alone.
