Many people take sophomores, but if you bombed out the first time you probably wouldn't have better luck as a soph. Whoever told you you would have no problems getting into any tier house must not have been familiar with the process. Just about every girl going through rush had good grades in high school, lots of activities and is attractive. Anyone who says it's all about who you know in the houses is misinformed. At cut sessions it's one girl, one vote. And if the girls you know in the house are not influencers, their support won't help at all. To anyone reading this, believe all the posts that have said rush at Mizzou is extremely competitive and smart, pretty girls are a dime a dozen. You really have to be outstanding in order to have your choice of top tier houses. For that reason decide ahead of time how much you want to be part of the Greek community and whether you are willing to accept a bid from a lower tier house. Because for many if not most women, that's what it comes down to. I know only one girl, from out of state, who absolutely rocked rush and wound up with exactly the top tier houses she wanted on the last day. She was beautiful, kind, outgoing, 34 ACT, funny, a national level track champion and editor of her high school paper. The rest of us did the best we could with mixed results.
