Four of us did the same thing. We didn't give up and let things play out until the last day. Two of us got our top choice in what is usually considered a top tier house. One of us had to settle for a house she wasn't even considering at the beginning of rush and the other was not pleased with her choices on the last day and dropped. Of the two who got into a top tier house, I am very happy and have made excellent friends, the other dropped in early November because she couldn't concentrate on grades plus deal with all the required hours for homecoming, socials, etc. The person who settled is pleasantly surprised with how things have turned out and has no regrets at all. And the person who dropped on the last day made great friends in the dorm and will be living with two dorm friends and one friend from high school. What does this all mean? 1) Things don't always work out the way you think they will. 2) Greek life isn't for everyone. 3) You never know what will bring you happiness 4) There isn't just one right choice. So just roll with it, keep an open mind and trust yourself.
