Everyone will show the love to Sigma Kappa in the early stages, that's how it's done here, but unfortunately, the claws will come out. Tri Sigma has put up with it for 4 years, and kudos to the women who, as the above poster put it, knew who they were, despite the cattiness and insecurities of others, had the confidence and drive to make a brand new chapter thrive (and of course they've thrived or else their nationals would have spent the big bucks on that house). Sigma Kappa at least has some added bonuses Trisigma didn't have: history on campus, although they had to shut their doors, they've been here before, they have a house ready to go, and a head-cheerleader in our very own Julie Drury. But if you think the claws aren't being sharpened as we speak from other chapters, you are sadly mistaken. SK is now the officially the new house and the new house always gets heat. Sad but true. People can say they like change, but not if the change isn't in their favor. Honestly, instead of TriSig being on "the edge of their seats", they're probably just relieved that 4 years of being the "newbies" constantly in the spotlight for houses to focus on any negative no matter how small and ignore any/all positives no matter how great just to pounce will now be transferred to the newest chapter. And I for one feel horrible for them, because admit it or not, the horrible jealous girls in greek life will make it awful for the newest house their first year, guaranteed :(
