I totally agree w/the post. I'm from S. CA (came to MU for Journ. and love it here - a bit cold, but I was expecting that!) Both PiPhi and GPhi are VERY strong where I'm from & many of my high school friends pledged both houses. They were both on my Top 3 list but I ended up in the sorority where I'm a 3 time legacy and love it. PiPhi is a bit more of an "I don't care" edgy attitude - you can be pretty, smart, a major dope smoker, an athlete, apathetic, etc. and no one cares. I found GPhi to be more the traditional, Midwestern sorority girl type - very pretty, outgoing, many are athletic but more conformist. Both houses are awesome & that's why they do so well during recruitment. My best friends in Johnston last yr. were PiPhis & GPhis - love them both!
