It is helpful for you to get recs before recruitmet. However, it is the sorority's responsibility to get a rec for you, and if they really want you, they will get one. I had multiple recs to almost every chapter, and ended up pledging a chapter that I didn't have a rec for. Again, if the chapter is really interested in you, they will get someone to recommend you.
