It is pretty ignorant to believe that there are not people who would purposely create or plan things like this to garner attention and cause trouble. Do some research on all of the protests and riots that have gone on all over the country. Many people involved aren't actually residents of the affected cities, they are planned participants who do this to raise tensions and create havoc. So yes, people would intentionally subject themselves to these things. We don't know all of the facts, there are lots of stories going around, so maybe for once we should reserve judgment until the whole story is told.
