`1) Because AGD and AOPi are the two strongest sororities of that list. Both of them are strong in the SEC and would do well here with a clean start. 2) The fact that AGD and AOPi were here in the past means that they have alumnae who are Mizzou grads and would take an even more special and personal interest in getting involved and supporting the chapter so they could see them succeed succeed. 3) Just because a sorority has failed here in the past doesn't mean they can't come in and do well. Look at Sigma Kappa. They were here from 1968-1973 and then from 1990-2004 and reestablished in 2012 and are doing well. 4) Furthermore it has been over 20 years since AGD (1993) and AOPI (1994) disbanded. You shouldn't be holding that over their heads. That is more than enough time for them to have a fresh start. I'm not totally sure what the recruitment numbers were >20 years ago, but I would venture to guess that interest was a lot less back then. Interest in sorority recruitment has been increasing nationally as a whole, and that is the case too with us adding SK and Tri Sig in recent years. 5) If you look at where their chapters are located, AXiD and DZ are just not that strong at big schools like Mizzou. It's the same thing with Tri Sig and look how long it has been taking them to become stable. We need 2 more houses, but I don't want a repeat of Tri Sig (smaller sorority coming in who is not that strong and has trouble recruiting).
