While I agree with most of ^ this, I find myself wondering how someone who is in a sorority can say without question that "Being Greek is better than not being Greek," since they have only experienced Greek life. Isn't that like a GDI saying "Being independent is better than being Greek," I mean, how do they know. And this is a good time to remind people that if rush didn't work out for you, you can still make wonderful and lifelong friends at Mizzou. Often it starts in the dorm and you go one to live with the same group of people for the next three years. I am in a sorority and I am thrilled with my choice, but it's NOT the only way to experience college. My sister was not in a sorority and she has the most amazing group of friends. When they graduated, in fact, several of them decided to move to a new city, live together and start their careers there. They couldn't be happier. So not being Greek isn't the end of the world. If you were cut from your favorite houses and decide to quit rush, your college experience will be different, but not necessarily worse, than if you had joined a house. It's just one of many adjustments you will make concerning your expectations in the next four years.
