Realistically speaking, PNMs: please remember the houses are selecting you. Each house sets goals for the year i.e. "We want to focus on academics" or "we want to improve sisterhood" etc. They then look for these qualities in building their pledge class. So, if you happened to be paired with someone at a party and you felt like there was a "meh" connection, it is very likely because they didn't pair you with a top recuriter. The girls they are wanting to recruit, get the top rushers. Plain and simple. The ones the house is interested in, are paired with someone with the same major, same personality style, from a similar home town etc....if that didn't happen for you and you didn't have a great convo, it is prob because they were giving you a courtesty party. You were very likely not going to be invited back the next day anyway--not because you are not a great girl, but because you are not they type they are looking for in this pledge class. And, for you to say "I dropped them" is naive. You were likely not on their invite list anyway. I say this to make a point--that recuritment is selective, especially at Mizzou. Be happy with who is on your invite lists today. That means you are what they are looking for. I honestly can say that being Greek at Mizzou in any of our amazing houses is better than not being Greek. With the exception of maybe one house, I think I could have found a sisterhood in any one of our amazing houses here. But, the one I am a member of WANTED me. I was the fortunate one to receive a bid. That is all.
