I can't wait for you lovely Mizzou ladies to find your homes next month! I remember when I found mine and how happy I was. Unfortunately though, instead of thinking about my own personal future, I almost let a 7 month relationship dictate my education and I planned on transferring to be with my ex at his school, so I dropped my sorority even though I actually loved it, and my ex's school had my chapter there (He played baseball so I foolishly thought my sorority commitment wouldn't give time for my relationship) Lo and behold after I dropped, 3 weeks later my ex broke up with me and I realized that I actually enjoyed Mizzou, my education, and life I have here and that leaving made no sense. Don't be follower ladies! The loss of a sisterhood you appreciated really hurts. Although I still have very close friends from the chapter I was in, things just aren't the same. Make big decisions for yourself. No matter how much you think you love someone it's not worth, changing your whole life around for a guy isn't even close to worth it unless you've got a ring. Even outside of relationships this advice is applicable. I know a lot of girls who have let various outside influences quit their sorority, and they ALL regret it. I guess the take away is once you join a sorority let your membership be on your terms and no one else's.
