For so many girls coming from out of state and planning to go through recruitment it can be intimidating, but seriously, don't worry. Best advice is to stick with your gut and where you feel comfortable! Being from "out of state", and although there are a lot of girls from my state at Mizzou, my particular house did not have a lot, at all. Honestly never even thought about that until after recruitment, I just wanted to go through and meet people and like is said over and over, keep an open mind. The very best advice is to just go in and be yourself , believe in yourself, talk to the girls as you would in meeting anyone new-answer their questions and ask your own questions. Be curious, know that you are also deciding on where you will spend your next four years, so PLEASE don't try to go along with what other pichi groups or girls on your floor are saying. the house I ended up in was NOT on my list, I had no interest at first, got a few letters of recommendation, but had no interest in getting one for this particular house(because of what I heard). From day one it was always in my top 2. Don't worry if you like a house where there is a 'rumor'..or that it is all the st Louis girls, or northwest Chicago suburbs girls, just go with what you feel is right...DO NOT follow people from your high school or city. college is the time to do your own thing! Take every stereotype you see here on GR with a grain of salt-it's college, time to depend on yourself!
