Leave it to someone on Greek Rank to rewrite the St. Jude mission statement to bolster her own ignorance. To those of you who care, this is the real mission statement, and it does not mention cancer: "The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay." It's a wonderful hospital and, best of all, it is not based on how much money or insurance coverage a family has. But it is not exclusively a cancer hospital. I know, because my little brother was treated there for a non-malignant brain tumor.
