It is a little competitive. There are just too many girls rushing for everyone to get a spot. Depending on the house, and the recruitment year, most of the time, houses range from 80-90 girls in there new member class. However, a lot of things play a role in deciding if you are right for a certain house or not, such as GPA, and personality. Some personalities won't fit into certain houses, and that is DEFINITELY okay! It doesn't make you a bad person or anything, that house just sees you won't be the right fit! In all seriousness, just really be yourself. Look around and see if that house is a house you can really fit into. Don't worry about reputation, or what others might think of you. Ask yourself "Can I call this place home for the next _ years"? "Do I feel comfortable enough to express my opinion and not have my sisters bad mouth me because of it?" "Can I be myself in this house, or would I always have to try to be someone I am not?" Those are some of the questions I always asked myself when I was going through recruitment. While going through each and every house, figure out what is most important to you. If philanthropy a huge part in why you're rushing, and do you love the philanthropy enough to work multiple hours for it? If you're rushing to be part of an amazing sister (every single house on campus has an amazing sisterhood), what does the word "sisterhood" really mean to you? Will they be there for you, a shoulder to cry on? Go in with an open mind!!!
