No one knows why some houses choose to COB certain years and others don't, unless you're in that house - YOU DON'T KNOW. Yes some do it to boost GPA (that could be sigma, zeta, phi mu or axo - any of them). Some do it because they kicked out members they didn't want or lost members due to money or transferring (again that could be any house). Most do it because total keeps rising and they can continue to find great members through the new great members they recruited and really like and they want their friends. So quit separating houses by "reasons for COBing" - It's a load of sh.t and a lie. The fact is MOST houses at one time or another have COB'd for their OWN reasons. Reasons you were not informed about. Every house has over 200 members and we're even adding another chapter next year because all the houses are doing so well and because of all the interest in greek life. So unless you're the COB police - shut up.
