And it shows that you aren't interested in embarrassing your older sister because, I can assure you, if you have a sister in the house and you don't pledge that house after they have put you on the top of their bid list (as they are required to do for legacies) that is a real slap in the face. If she is a senior when you are a freshman and you are convinced that you don't want to lower yourself to her standard, then wait a year until she is out of the house.
