Most chose this school without a second thought. They are staying at this school without a second thought. What a shame for all those people that wanted to come here but had second thoughts after this past falls events. Those of us on this campus know how blown out of proportion the protesting events were. The lead protesters now admit that things got too big and out of control once the media became involved. They dropped out, hoping all would. The university reunited. Random protesters drew protesters that were not even Mizzou students and there goes the story. The question is not-do students have a right to protest. Of course, this is America-EVERYONE has the right to protest. What very late in the game came in to question was-SHOULD people protest using false means-basically false advertising. This IS, and ALWAYS HAS BEEN, a great campus. Yes, our freshman enrollment might now be down 1800 students, and, according to 'rumors' the lead protesters ARE considering stepping UP and making a statement that there were some things said that were blown out of proportion by the media(THAT is what will give Peyton and Joanatho credibility again) but only they know what will come of those discussions. Missouri has had an incredible university all these years and is the first university in history to drop that dramatically in one year based on actions of a 3 week period. Mizzou will rebound though-with or without the people who destroyed their own names in the course of action.
