Look at it this way, in a Greek system as diverse as ours it's hard to really distinguish between tiers. The way I see it, our school has two groups of sororities. If you fit in one you most likely would fit into all of them (although some somewhat better than others.) The distinction is girls who focus on friends, school, working hard and not so focused on boys or looks - and girls who focus on their social life, trend setters, have a competitive spirit, not AS focused on grades or leadership (but not entirely in the woods) - the "popular" girls. Here are the two groups, in order of tier. You'll notice it's a lot easier to sort tiers this way. Group 1: XO, Theta, Kappa, AXO, ADPi, KD, ?SK? Group 2: Pi Phi, GPhi, Tridelt, APhi, DG, Zeta, Phi Mu, ?Sigma? Usually, your pref card will show only houses from your respective group. There's of course people who might end up on both if they're a little more well rounded and unsure (myself included I had XO, DDD and Aphi) but for most of the people I see go through rush it's pretty accurate
