Did your mama not teach you any manners? These women have graciously volunteered to spend their time writing your rec to help you get a lifetime membership into their sorority. A verbal thank you is not enough in this situation! My mom writes a lot of recs for her sorority and gets at least a thank you note, usually a small gift (Voluspa candle, monogrammed stationery, fresh flowers, etc) when she writes a rec. Alumnae can make or break you in Alabama.
