New members call themselves babies for fun! Baby hooties, baby pandas, baby dolphins, have you never heard any of these before? It's fun. No one ever says it in a humiliating way! You will probably call yourself that. No active says that trying to humiliate you. We love you and we worked our butts off to get you in our house. We would never want to hurt you. I actually think there are some organizations that don't let their chapters call their new members "baby ____" anymore, though. But I'm not sure which ones. The point is, it is nothing serious in any way. If there was any sort of hazing whatsoever at all I wouldn't be in a sorority! You are showered with tons gifts.
