KD has slipped BUT still remains relevant and a top house. They're the first sorority, popular with old row fraternities, and have a lot of tradition. A lot of people hate them because they feel as if they should be below other houses (because of grades, down in looks), but that's just not going to happen. Kappa hasn't slipped as much as KD and is not as hated, but that's because they can't really brag about "first on row" like some KDs do and their girls are known to be more chill. Like KD they have a lot of tradition and are popular with other old row fraternities. They remain a top house too and they garner hate for similar reasons, but KD definitely gets the most of it. Basically, KD and KKG were the ones to get all the rich Alabama girls but now them and girls just as good or better from other parts of the country are exploring their options and going houses like AXO. You'd be lucky to go either though and I wouldn't look too much into the "slipping". Not every girl is meant to fit into every sorority. I have a friend who seemed like an AXO on paper but ended up going ZTA. Every house here is great.
